The lowest hanging fruit in most cases will be the cheapest one and even if it wasn’t, it would be your recipe to success. So what is it? Drum roll……… it is your ability to stick at things. Consistency. Being consistent is something anyone can have a crack at and it doesn’t take any new knowledge because you have already done it.
Think of your idea to control your weight, look after your health, learn a new instrument, take up a new sport. If you are not doing them now or you’re in your 2nd or 3rd iteration of it, think of what you would be like if you actually stuck at it. The answer is obvious. So, why is it that human beings find it difficult to stick at things when their initial intention was totally correct? The answer is, most of them don’t really know, otherwise they would have solved it. Boredom, comfort zone, lower expectations of themselves than the ideal they set themselves.
Business is no different. Being consistent is the single and most simple thing that business owners can do and their business would leap to another level.
What kind of things can business owners do to be consistent?
- Stick at the marketing that they are testing.
- Keep having team and leadership meetings.
- Keep following up leads.
- Keep learning how to run a better business.
- Keep analysing their historical financial results and planning for the future.
- Keep training your team.
- Keep giving positive feedback to your team.
- Keep finishing work at a responsible time to see your family.
And this is where a really good business coach can help.
